‘Mt Michael’

Walkaway, WA

2 day clinic

The Cattle & Horse Clinic is a two-day event for riders who compete in—or are interested in—campdrafting, ranch sorting, team penning, Australian Stock Horse classes, Stockman’s Challenges and other cattle-based horse sports, and wish to gain a greater understanding of how cattle see the world.

Starting with cattle handling on the ground before taking those skills into the saddle, participants will learn how cattle think, move and respond to pressure.

The clinic will focus on developing better timing, position and control of stock, while understanding when to release pressure and when to quit.

Whether you already compete or simply want to become more capable and confident working cattle from horseback, this clinic will provide a supportive environment in which to learn, practice and meet others.

Register interest in attending, however please know that places are limited.

Capable youths are welcome.

Camping available, dinner supplied Saturday night.

1 day clinic

Ladies learning from ladies.

The Ladies Livestock Clinic is designed for women who handle livestock as part of their daily work and want to build their confidence and ability to work cattle effectively and safely.

Held within a supportive group of women, this 1 day clinic combines theory with practical, hands-on cattle handling.

Participants will develop a better understanding of how cattle think, move and respond to pressure, while building the timing, position and awareness needed to handle them calmly and confidently.

Participants will leave with practical tools and techniques they can immediately put into practice on their own farm or property.

No previous cattle-handling experience is required. All ages and experience levels are welcome, but places are limited.
